Description Joshua Lock 2015-12-16 15:52:37 UTC
After reading the dev manual section on Creating Partitioned Images and wic I was left with the impression that I wouldn't be able to create empty partitions.

I thought this would be a common usage and was able to find this *is* supported by reading the source (and discovering `wic help kickstart`).

https://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/tree/scripts/lib/wic/help.py#n663

It would be great to document this in the "5.6.8 OpenEmbedded Kickstart (.wks) Reference"[1] section of the development manual and explicitly refer to the built in kickstart help (wic help kickstart) somewhere, such as the "5.6.3 Getting Help"[2] or "5.6.8 OpenEmbedded Kickstart (.wks) Reference"[1]
