Often upstream version cannot be directly compared against the recipe version, and special processing with a real programming language is needed before that. It should be possible to add a function hook to a recipe that would do this processing: def process_versions(recipe_version, upstream_version): ...do things with the function parameters.... return (processed_recipe_version, processed_upstream_version)
