Description Robert Yang 2016-01-29 07:07:25 UTC
Now, when we want to run the build, we have to:

. /path/to/poky/oe-init-build-env builddir

We need do this again when we want to build it in a new terminal. It would be better if we can run:

* "bitbake recipe" in a new terminal directly if the project had been initialized. (assume bitbake/bin is in PATH, or use /path/to/bin/bitbake recipe if not).

* "bitbake recipe" directly if no conf/local.conf was found in current dir or parent dirs. It can assume CWD is the builddir, and use default local.conf.sample as local.conf, and we also can use something like MACHINE=foo bitbake recipe.

This is something similar to make, if there is a Makefile in CWD, then we can run make directly.

After talked with RP, bitbake does support run "bitbake recipe" without initial the build dir again if /path/to/bitbake/bin is in PATH.
