Scott,
Could you pls. help to add this in our document? You know, different host os need different fix, so we decide to document it as know issue and let end user choose right one for themselves.

Pls. see following background info, and let me know if need further details.

Mark would provide fix for Fedora system...

Thanks,
edwin

nVidia's proprietary OpenGL libraries are known to have compatibility
issues with qemu, resulting in a segfault. Please uninstall these
drivers or ensure the mesa libGL libraries precede nvidia's via LD_PRELOAD.

You can detect if nVidia's libGL precedes mesa's by(poky-qemu also does this)
user@machine$ ldd qemu-binary | grep -i nvidia
If find something like
libGL.so.1 => /usr/lib/nvidia-current/libGL.so.1
libnvidia-tls.so.260.19.06...
Qemu is linked with nVidia's libGL, and likely to get segfault:(

There are workarounds for different host system. On ubuntu, you can prepend following environment variable before qemu starting command to fall back to mesa's libGL

LD_PRELOAD="/usr/lib/libGL.so $LD_PRELOAD" qemu .....

The scripts themselves now warn about this problem.
