Initial idea was to re-write the spdx.bbclass to use the Nomossa License scanner from FOSSology. Nomossa is licensed under GPL2 and it just depends on glib-2.0. ( Recipe available here: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky-contrib/commit/?h=maxin/fossology&id=15a658a195d11339f290966590c572092bf71399 ) Upside is, by using Nomossa, users won't have to send the source code through the network (Some users who deals with NDAs might prefer this way) On the negative side, multi-threaded execution of Nomossa consumes a lot of memory. So, we will have to limit the parallel build. spdx support (with DoSOCSv2) is available here: https://github.com/dl9pf/meta-spdxscanner |
