I built poky-image-mediatomb for the Router Station Pro today, and after getting a tftpd server setup to boot the thing, I ran into this:

root@routerstationpro:~# /etc/init.d/mediatomb restart
Restarting upnp media server: /usr/bin/mediatomb: error while loading shared libraries: libjs: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
mediatomb.

I noticed that libjs.so does exist in /usr/lib, so I tried the following:

root@routerstationpro:~# LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libjs.so mediatomb

MediaTomb UPnP Server version 0.12.1 - http://mediatomb.cc/

Get's further, but something still isn't quite right.

The library looks sane:

# file /usr/lib/libjs.so
/usr/lib/libjs.so: ELF 32-bit MSB shared object, MIPS, MIPS32 version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, with unknown capability 0x41000000 = 0xf676e75, with unknown capability 0x10000 = 0x70401, stripped

Hmm, I seem to recall this from the Laverne demo - Mark, did we not fix this?
Can you remember the workaround you used in Cambridge?
Comment 2 Joshua Lock - Disabled 2011-03-22 05:18:57 UTC
We had incorrectly linked libraries on PPC in 0.9 which iirc resulted in similar errors. http://bugzilla.pokylinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=515

Per #515 running ldconfig on the device after boot I can then start mediatomb. However it still segfaults...
Comment 4 Darren Hart 2011-03-22 22:24:07 UTC
Did we change the version of Mediatomb or libjs since the 0.9 demo?
Comment 5 Kevin Tian 2011-03-23 01:47:29 UTC
it looks that this does be machine specific. On my eMenlow board, mediatomb is launched successfully FYI.
Comment 6 Joshua Lock - Disabled 2011-03-23 08:25:04 UTC
I guess mediatomb hasn't seen much build/test on MIPS. Even if I revert to the 0.9 demo and build an image with mediatomb for the routerstationpro I get a segfault on launch...
Comment 7 Darren Hart 2011-06-30 15:39:40 UTC
Needs an owner.
Comment 8 Darren Hart 2012-08-20 21:23:49 UTC
I doubt Shane is still looking at this. As a "low" it doesn't need to be scheduled. I would suggest removing the target milestone instead of just bumping it along every milestone.
Comment 9 Ross Burton 2013-09-10 14:36:05 UTC
meta-dlna is dead now.
