Description Bill Randle 2016-03-31 00:03:24 UTC
The configure script for 'man' uses $CC (the cross-compiler) instead of $BUILD_CC (the build compiler). As a result, any configure test that rely on a working executable fail when target arch is not the same as the host arch.

It also bases its config settings on the host features, rather than target features. This could result in compile errors if the host and target architecture and/or compilers are significantly different.
Comment 1 Bill Randle 2016-03-31 05:09:04 UTC
Change the script to use the build compiler, but use the target include files to check for the target features. This works because the feature testing is using include file contents and not the actual result of the test compile.

Patch submitted to OE mailing list.
