Added interested parties to the CC list. I will need some steps on how to do this. Scott Tom, can you work with Scott on this one please. Setting to 2.3 M4 because nobody seems to want to provide information for this. This is a cookbook topic for the wiki. Hi, I can work on this documentation if you don't mind. Dorinda: Help much appreciated! Created attachment 4739 [details]
How to change Kernel Version
Hi all,
Can you please review the documentation i attached for this bug?
Thanks,
Dorinda
Michael, Can you take a look at his when you are back at work? There is a decent quality and size patch that is attached. The attached doc is for the host and this bug relates to the target. Marking as obsolete as changing the kernel version is a non trivial exercise which would be hard to document. Wind River Linux docs describe how to do this in that product context. Those docs do refer to a couple of things that a specific to WR Linux but they may help people who decide to change the kernel version even though that's not recommended for WR Linux or Yocto: https://docs.windriver.com/bundle/Wind_River_Linux_Kernel_Development_LTS_23/page/oiv1716230063863.html Hope that helps, ../Randy |
