Description Robert Yang 2016-04-14 02:15:59 UTC
Currently, it's not easy to debug package install problems, for example:
1) More packages are installed than expected
2) Less packages are installed than expected
3) Wrong packages are installed than expected

We need figure out an easier why to debug and fix the problem, for example, an easier way to reproduce the error rather than run bitbake command, maybe something like:

bitbake <foo> -cpkg_install_debug.

And then we can do the pkg install/remove manually.

What we may need is something along the lines of scripts/oe-pkgdata-util

Robert, we need more specific info on what we could do. Since this isn't a high priority, I'm closing it. If you re-open, please add more info.
