This is the builds table result.

DESCRIPTION:

The search result from the build table is incorrect see image attached (search_result_for_libby.jpg). I searched for "libby" and it brings out a result where there is no "libby" present, nor more than one letter consecutively.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Started toaster.
2. Created 4 builds, 2 core-image-minimal(1 failed and 1 passed) and 2 customize images named libby-core-minimal (1 failed and 1 passed).
3. Entered "All build" table in web browser.
4. Input a string "libby"
5. The result was 3 builds found. (2 libby-core-minimal and 1 core-image-minimal)

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
The result to be 2 builds only the ones that hold the string "libby".

I can't reproduce this, but it is fairly strange. Does the name of the project or the branch you were using include 'libby' by any chance?

Libby, please update.
Comment 4 Libertad 2016-06-21 19:18:09 UTC
Yes, 2 of the builds that I customize were named libby-core-minimal.

Hi Libby, regarding this comment on the pdf

"I had the understanding that when you entered the search criteria it looked only in the columns of the table and showed the rows that had a match on any one of the columns."

The search happens against all the searchable columns available for the table, which includes the ones that are shown, and the ones that are hidden. The full list of columns is available when you click the "show columns" menu. For the "all builds" table, they are:

outcome
recipe
machine
started on
completed on
failed tasks
errors
warnings
time
image files
project

Not all of the above columns are searchable: started on, completed on, errors, warnings and time are definitely not.

My question is: if you select all the columns available in the "show columns" menu and repeat your search, what do you get? Are there any columns that contain 'libby' in the rows shown?

Thanks!

In the PDF the last screen shot the one where it shows the search table result, all the columns available in the "show columns" menu are visible. The core-image-minimal rows don't show any 'libby' text in them.

Sorry, I should have spotted that. I've been able to reproduce this in toaster-next (b74e14abf22a863dbca3198cd30c91192636bdc7). I suspect is somehow connected to custom images.
