Perhaps we could offer tooltips showing the SUMMARY or DESCRIPTION. We'd need to audit the image recipes in OE core and Yocto to make this worthwhile.

currently in the hob Base Image drop down list there're core-image-base, core-image-minimal, core-image-core, core-image-basic, which are not very meaningful what their contents are, so need more desc info regarding each image profile, would be better to audit the image profiles and do some consoliation

Keep it open, and the hints for base images are in our plan.

I could verify the feature is there since there are guidance for base image in my testing against master for 1.2 M3.

Guidance text is displayed in Hob when an image is selected.
