This is likely a meta-intel issue. Assigning to me. Looks like this may have been fixed by some recent commit - not seeing it as of poky/master 3ea694cf688f26d47149200d0dc522da51a87e58 meta-intel/master 6e35713d9f7dbbc2682811234c804a5b129d04e2 poky/master: 32a4e746273c3c7d3dd0f13b745bc0679cadaa44

After bitbake xserver-xf86-config -c unpack -f:

What should have been picked up:

In my sugar case, tmp/work/sugarbay-poky-linux/xserver-xf86-config-0.1-r9/xorg.conf is the same as meta-intel/meta-sugarbay/recipes-graphics/xorg-xserver/xserver-xf86-config/sugarbay/xorg.conf. My environment: poky/master: 32a4e746273c3c7d3dd0f13b745bc0679cadaa44 meta-intel/master: 90ace178d3fb5d253cdba396bce66dd2fce2ed79 In my conf/local.conf, I have MACHINE ??= "sugarbay" In my conf/bblayers.conf, I have BBLAYERS = " \ /osel/dcui/0527/p1/meta \ /osel/dcui/0527/p1/meta-yocto \ /osel/dcui/0527/p1/meta-intel/meta-sugarbay \ " After bitbake xserver-xf86-config -c unpack -f, find ../meta* -name "xorg.conf" -exec md5sum {} \; > md5 echo --- >> md5; find tmp/work/ -name "xorg.conf" -exec md5sum {} \; >> md5 By checking the md5 file, I'm sure the proper xorg.conf is installed. Not sure what caused the wrong file installed in your side. BTW: I'm doing the test in a clean repo by "git clone". This has been resolved upstream with the set -> list change in the Cooker from Richard and the layer priority fixes From Paul E. |
