We'll track this first issue since it's related to oe-core. Khem can you handle the second issue in meta-oe? The second issue looks like as if the root cause would be gcc 9 generating code that binutils rejects. It could be something mundane like the common -mxgot issue (the error message does not match this one specifically), but my guess would be that there is a toolchain bug that has to be fixed in oe-core. Secondly, needing toolchain on target for mips is more or less a rare case. reopen if this happens on real mips hardware with a modern toolchain.
