This is not a build race, this is the -fno-common default in gcc 10: https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-10/porting_to.html The fix should be (untested): https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=35b34d264cb347909ec89d9fa895900035d5438c We already have those commits in linux-yocto. We just need Kevin @ Wind River to bump the version in the reference BSP once it has been boot tested.
