I've tested Tom's fix and it is on the yocto list pending inclusion.

Just some additional testing info - I built-tested the fix using both rpm and ipk, with both bbthreads and parallel make at 16, and Darren and Jeffrey Moore <jeff@kokofitclub.com> verified the build.

I also tested video acceleration with big_buck_bunny_1080p_h264.mov.

The poky commit used was 4648aadfe161d2e0ec51408f35fdf8996727bd22
