I was not able to replicate it.
Did a git pull today, so:
DISTRO_VERSION    = "1.2+snapshot-20120726".

libsamplerate0 compiled and build cleanly.

in that case it may be dependency issue. probably the recipe sndfile.h is not in the DEPENDS of the libsamplerate

which recipe provides sndfile.h ?
try "bitbake clean"ning that recipe before testing.

Like I said previously, I was not able to replicate it.
If a test case can be provided, I will investigate it.
