Unfortunately I'm currently blocked from looking into this by bug #2931. I think the problem here is that kernel-dev is legitimately not available for any multilibs since the kernel is only built for the base architecture. The question is how can we teach the image/rootfs code this? *** Bug 3168 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** #3918 which is duplicate of this should be closed when this is verified. #1731 which is duplicate of this should be closed when this is verified. *** Bug 1731 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 3168 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hi Paul, Is there any update regarding this issue? Thanks, Alex. No change; I still haven't determined the appropriate way to figure out which packages should not have the prefix applied. The kernel-dev issue has been fixed (commit 1674541ed83fa4645f2e078f65fe0f878527ee6e). Now, when I build lib64-core-image-sato-sdk I receive this error: | Note: to be installed: packagegroup-core-tools-profile@lib64_qemux86 packagegroup-core-standalone-sdk-target@all packagegroup-core-boot@lib64_qemux86 rpm@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-x11-base@all packagegroup-core-x11-sato@lib64_qemux86 packagegroup-base-extended@lib64_qemux86 locale-base-en-us@lib64_x86_64 smartpm@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-tools-testapps@lib64_qemux86 locale-base-en-gb@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-sdk@all psplash@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-x11-sato-games@lib64_qemux86 packagegroup-core-qt-demoapps@all packagegroup-core-ssh-openssh@all packagegroup-core-tools-debug@lib64_qemux86 kernel-dev@qemux86 | Loading cache... | Updating cache... ######################################## [100%] | | Computing transaction...error: Can't install xmodmap-1:1.0.7-r8.0.0@i586: no package provides libX11.so.6 | | Saving cache... | | ERROR: Function failed: do_rootfs (see /home/dev/yocto/poky-build3/tmp/work/qemux86-poky-linux/lib64-core-image-sato-sdk/1.0-r0/temp/log.do_rootfs.27307 for further information) On the other hand, the lib32-core-image-sato-sdk build finishes successfully. Paul: Could you look into this because it seems smart related? Cheers, Constantin Same thing for 'lib64-core-image-sato' target. | Note: to be installed: packagegroup-core-boot@lib64_qemux86 rpm@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-ssh-dropbear@all packagegroup-core-x11-base@all packagegroup-base-extended@lib64_qemux86 locale-base-en-us@lib64_x86_64 smartpm@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-x11-sato-games@lib64_qemux86 locale-base-en-gb@lib64_x86_64 psplash@lib64_x86_64 packagegroup-core-x11-sato@lib64_qemux86 | Loading cache... | Updating cache... ######################################## [100%] | | Computing transaction...error: Can't install libavahi-client3-0.6.31-r6.1@i586: no package provides libdbus-1.so.3 | | Saving cache... | | ERROR: Function failed: do_rootfs (see /home/mihai/build/tmp/work/qemux86-poky-linux/lib64-core-image-sato/1.0-r0/temp/log.do_rootfs.2493 for further information) ERROR: Task 7 (virtual:multilib:lib64:/home/mihai/poky/meta/recipes-sato/images/core-image-sato.bb, do_rootfs) failed with exit code '1' Build Configuration: BB_VERSION = "1.17.0" BUILD_SYS = "x86_64-linux" NATIVELSBSTRING = "Fedora-17" TARGET_SYS = "i586-poky-linux" MACHINE = "qemux86" DISTRO = "poky" DISTRO_VERSION = "1.3+snapshot-20130206" TUNE_FEATURES = "m32 i586" TARGET_FPU = "" meta meta-yocto meta-yocto-bsp = "1.4_M3:3ae1a4ba972cfc17ff3f2fda632da8ecc3414885" This is unlikely to be smart's fault.
