Description Stoicescu Cornel 2012-09-18 16:00:25 UTC
When trying to move a file/folder by drag&drop in File Manager to a folder in the left "Places" section, the operation is not done.
     Please note that some animation is shown when doing the above described operation.

Build: core-image-sato-qemux86
Commit: e5c3513ca8abb21eb5e9b8c19d1b9199b14ae07c
The nightly build: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20120916-2

I will test this on other builds as well and come back with feedback.

The drag&drop from the file explorer to Places Menu works. There is however a problem when you are trying to drag&drop a file inside a folder (when both are located in the file explorer - the main window from pcmanfm). Probably the first case works because drag callbacks are different for the two widgets in libfm/gtk/fm-dnd_*.c

This problem happens periodically and not every time you try to drag&drop something.

When the drag action is not working the mouse click is detected, but the mouse motion afterwards is not. I tested the mouse events with evtest and they work every time so the problem should not be from kernel level or the qemu itself. There might be a problem with gtk+ and the way it dispatches events.

TO see every step of a drag&drop action the following

value should be modified in
meta/recipes-bsp/formfactor/files/qemux86/machconfig:
HAVE_TOUCHSCREEN = 0.

This way you will see a mini-icon when dragging.

Can QA please verify that this happens in current images?

The drag&drop operation works, but there is no animation shown.
