Description Ted Marshall 2013-04-02 22:23:54 UTC
Attempting to access git://git.yoctoproject.org (or git://yoctoproject.org) gives connection refused. Telnet to git.yoctoproject.org 9418 gives the same.

$ git ls-remote git://git.yoctoproject.org/yocto-firewall-test HEAD
git.yoctoproject.org[0: 140.211.169.56]: errno=Connection refused
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection refused)

$ telnet git.yoctoproject.org 9418
Trying 140.211.169.56...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

This is blocking work here. Please help.

Ted, does this problem still persist for you today?
Comment 2 Ted Marshall 2013-04-03 17:03:42 UTC
I just tried it again. Yes, the problem persists, no change.
Comment 3 Saul Wold 2013-04-03 18:03:30 UTC
Ted, do you have a firewall? The IP address is correct. I am able to get to the site locally (not on any corp network).
Comment 4 Ted Marshall 2013-04-03 18:07:51 UTC
OK. I'll investigate here. Since you say that it's working for you, I must assume the problem is on my end. Sorry for the confusion.
Comment 5 Paul Eggleton 2013-04-03 18:14:30 UTC
FYI if it helps, all of the repositories on git.yoctoproject.org are also available over standard HTTP as well e.g. http://git.yoctoproject.org/git/poky
Comment 6 Ted Marshall 2013-04-03 18:15:57 UTC
Confirmed firewall issue here and resolved. Sorry to bother you.
