Remove "x11" from DISTRO_FEATURES in meta/conf/distro/include/default-distrovars.inc, use "directfb" instead of it: DISTRO_FEATURES ?= "alsa argp bluetooth ext2 irda largefile pcmcia usbgadget usbhost wifi xattr nfs zeroconf pci 3g directfb ${DISTRO_FEATURES_LIBC}" 4. Run "bitbake core-image-directfb" to build a directfb image EXPECTED OUTCOME: The directfb image can be built. Actual result: " ERROR: Nothing PROVIDES 'libxft' (but /home/cornel/work/poky/meta/recipes-sato/matchbox-keyboard/matchbox-keyboard_git.bb DEPENDS on or otherwise requires it) ERROR: libxft was skipped: 'x11' not in DISTRO_FEATURES ERROR: Required build target 'matchbox-keyboard' has no buildable providers. Missing or unbuildable dependency chain was: ['matchbox-keyboard', 'libxft'] " Note: can be reproduced by replaxing x11 with directfb in meta/conf/distro/include/default-distrovars.inc and "bitbake matchbox-keyboard"
