Most of the times this API call returns a package name:

However, there are instances where it is returning the package version. A couple of examples below:

This is root-caused by an issue in the REST API implementation, and is not a data collection bug.

This should be solved by the bugs on which depends - 
changing the REST API and the package tables will fix this issue.

In review poky-contrib: toaster/master. 
Package dependency mechanism is now rewritten, this bug is no longer applicable.
