Description Alexandru Georgescu 2013-11-05 16:27:26 UTC
This is an umbrella bug for testing the performance affected by enabling the gcc security flags.
The performance targeted splits in two parts:

1. Test if build time performance is affected
2. Test if runtime performance is affected

I will add further comments with new bugs and dependent bugs.
Comment 1 Alexandru Georgescu 2013-11-05 16:29:49 UTC
Added 4144 - Run time performance data for the the runtime performance part
Comment 2 Alexandru Georgescu 2013-11-05 16:37:25 UTC
Added "5478 - [QA] - test build time performance degradations with gcc security flags enabled" for testing the build time performance.
Comment 3 Alexandru Georgescu 2014-04-23 09:06:51 UTC
closing wince [qa] tracking bugs won't be used starting 1.7
Comment 4 Alexandru Georgescu 2014-04-24 09:45:52 UTC
reopened since this is not a tracking bug
Comment 5 Ionut Chisanovici 2014-07-08 09:09:10 UTC
Moved to M4 as we want to use Lava server as a data collection tool for the performance testing.
As agreed with RP and Paul E., we will first start with Lava installation then we should start collection boot time for the images.

Cheers,
Ionut C
Comment 6 Alexandru Georgescu 2015-11-10 11:24:22 UTC
Added an estimate but this needs to be re-discussed.
Comment 7 Humberto Ibarra 2017-01-22 13:12:27 UTC
Dependency and umbrella bug were marked obsolete as part of the runtime performance bug restructuring. The bugs were years old and did not reflect the current implementation in the best of ways. Bug #10951 was opened as the new umbrella for runtime performance. If it still makes sense to have this a new bug will be opened as dependency for 10951.
