I can't actually reproduce this failure, but I can see how it could occur. If you add "inherit perlnative" to the x264 recipe does it fix the problem? I also could not reproduce this on latest master. Marking as worksforme. Will keep an eye on this and mark as RESOLVED if cannot reproduce in the future. Hmm, I'm not sure that's right; this is likely to be an intermittent problem. x264 definitely does check for perl when it's configuring; if perl somehow goes away while it's compiling (which could happen if there's no dependency and perl-native is rebuilding) that would probably lead to this error. For some reason commit a1d9b6df86b0829d591cae57ae351f6d96e63557 is from September 2013. I don't understand how this came to be but I cannot reproduce using that exact commit either. I will keep investigating this. I've sent a patch adding "inherit perlnative". Fix merged to master: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=77de11f99bbcbbf8bcaa3ddb73deeabc13471a50 Verified on Ubuntu 13.10 with poky master:8c3eb5ee4582b6f6d489549290937657f37fc19e . |
