poky master:a1d9b6df86b0829d591cae57ae351f6d96e63557

Steps to reproduce:
1) Set up poky and add LICENSE_FLAGS_WHITELIST = "commercial" in local.conf

I can't actually reproduce this failure, but I can see how it could occur. If you add "inherit perlnative" to the x264 recipe does it fix the problem?
Comment 2 Stoicescu Cornel 2014-02-25 11:44:24 UTC
I also could not reproduce this on latest master. Marking as worksforme. Will keep an eye on this and mark as RESOLVED if cannot reproduce in the future.
Comment 3 Paul Eggleton 2014-02-25 11:51:13 UTC
Hmm, I'm not sure that's right; this is likely to be an intermittent problem. x264 definitely does check for perl when it's configuring; if perl somehow goes away while it's compiling (which could happen if there's no dependency and perl-native is rebuilding) that would probably lead to this error.
Comment 4 Stoicescu Cornel 2014-02-25 12:28:33 UTC
For some reason commit a1d9b6df86b0829d591cae57ae351f6d96e63557 is from September 2013. I don't understand how this came to be but I cannot reproduce using that exact commit either. I will keep investigating this.
Comment 5 Paul Eggleton 2014-03-20 15:16:06 UTC
I've sent a patch adding "inherit perlnative".

Verified on Ubuntu 13.10 with poky master:8c3eb5ee4582b6f6d489549290937657f37fc19e .
