Description Darren Hart 2014-06-11 16:36:37 UTC
Using the following firmware image:

MNW2_IFWI_X64_R_2014_06_06_1723_SecEnabled.bin

If I enter the BIOS menu and update the console size to 80x25 (from 100x31) and the boot menu timeout from 5 to 2 seconds and then reboot, the board powers up (D1 and D2 are lit, but no output appears on the HDMI display and no output appears on the serial console.

Reflashing the image allows the board to reboot.

David Anders suggested that this may be due to the SPI clock bouncing between 20 and 50 MHz, which has been fixed in the 6/17 test image from David Wei. David Anders will verify the clock fix with a scope and sanity check this failure case as well.

We believe this was fixed with the firmware fix in bug 6470. Can no longer reproduce this.
