Setting up for 1.9 Assigning this to Costin. Not sure if we can do this with oe-selftest Assigning this to Costin. Not sure if we can do this with oe-selftest I'll just have a look. In essence (i guess) all there is to add is a test to build the linux-dummy and check the exit code of bitbake. Costin Well, we need to do a bit more than that - you'd need to actually set PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel = "linux-dummy" and then build an image e.g. core-image-minimal. You'd then need to check that linux-dummy did actually get built, and that there were no "multiple providers are available for" messages printed. Hi Paul, I tried your recommendations and the image didn't build. I think there is an issue and will open a separate bug. Costin Costin, can you paste the bug no here? (In reply to comment #7) > Costin, can you paste the bug no here? bug 7884 (In reply to comment #8) > (In reply to comment #7) > > Costin, can you paste the bug no here? > > bug 7884 Updating the bug milestone which depends on bug 7884 (no milestone set) Hello, After following the indications of 7884, the image built successfully. Still messages like: "NOTE: Resolving any missing task queue dependencies NOTE: multiple providers are available for runtime kernel-base (linux-yocto, linux-yocto-tiny, linux-yocto-rt) NOTE: consider defining a PREFERRED_PROVIDER entry to match kernel-base" are present during build time. I checked however if linux-dummy is built and found under /build/tmp/deploy/rpm$ ls ./i586/linux-dummy-dbg-1.0-r1.i586.rpm ./i586/linux-dummy-dev-1.0-r1.i586.rpm I can see some "activity" under build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/linux-dummy/1.0-r1$ ls COPYING.GPL deploy-rpms image license-destdir linux-dummy.spec package packages-split pkgdata pseudo sysroot-destdir temp alongside all related tasks log under build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/linux-dummy/1.0-r1/temp so i guess it did built. Thank you, Costin Hi, Auto test case implemented. Will submit it shortly. Costin Costin, did you submit this? I can't see it in oe-core or on the list. It won't make M2 patch sent for review. ... forgot to add patch location: http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2016-February/117819.html the version 2 of the patch is here http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2016-February/118260.html Already merged on master http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=c3d2df883a9d6d5036277114339673656d89a728 |
