I have reproducd this bug with
poky eb4a134a60e3ac26a48379675ad6346a44010339 (fido) 
and 
PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel = "linux-dummy"

and verified that the fix posted by Saul Wold
http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2015-June/106438.html

Hi,

I build a core-image-minimal again and followed the comment #2 indications. It works. Awaiting for patch to be merged in poky.
