Description Mihail Stanciu 2015-03-30 12:31:58 UTC
Tested on 1.8_M4_RC1: 8b3d3e7c957ad06c390886487f69aeb8e145da6a

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new project.
2. Import meta-selftest layer as follows:
Layer name: meta-selftest
Git repository URL: git://git.yoctoproject.org/poky
Revision: HEAD
Click on the button: "Import and add to project"
3. Build core-image-minimal

Expected result:
Image builds successfully.

Observed result:
Build fails with the following error:

Comment 1 Alexandru Damian 2015-03-30 15:29:28 UTC
I am not sure about what scenario we have here - but I suspect the imported layer was not correct, and thus the test case was invalid.

Specifically, the test sequence for importing layer meta-selftest does not specify the directory path set to "meta-selftest" in accordance with the tree listed here http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/tree/?h=fido so the test data is invalid, and the outcome is the expected one - error while starting the system.

Closing as "not a bug" due to invalid test sequence.

Thank you for clarifying the test case.
I have made the mentioned addition and the build did indeed complete.
Marking as verified.
