Description Steffen Sledz 2015-11-12 14:01:08 UTC
The busybox recipe does not install ua-links for systemd/system/syslog.service.

BTW: Same problem with syslog-ng from meta.oe (rsyslog does it right).

I've posted patches in the related mailing lists.
Comment 1 Ross Burton 2015-11-12 14:19:32 UTC
As you've posted patches, I'll change the owner back to you.
Comment 2 Steffen Sledz 2015-11-12 16:04:54 UTC
Is this sensible?

I do not have the rights to push these commits. So I can't do anything more to bring this issue forward.
Comment 3 Paul Eggleton 2015-11-12 16:14:58 UTC
FWIW, none of us do either :) Only Richard can actually push patches to OE-Core.
Comment 4 Steffen Sledz 2015-11-12 16:20:53 UTC
OK, can/should I do something to quicken the process?

BTW: The patches should be pushed at least to fido and jethro branches too.
Comment 5 Paul Eggleton 2015-11-12 16:30:03 UTC
No, if you've sent it to the list as a non-RFC then it's out for review. If there are review comments then you may need to address those but for now I think you've done what you can - Thanks. I've marked it as IN PROGRESS REVIEW accordingly.

(Fixed the milestone back to 2.1, thanks to bugzilla's web form it got reverted to 1.4.5)
Comment 6 Steffen Sledz 2015-11-19 14:59:14 UTC
The problem seems to be more general.

Comment 7 Steffen Sledz 2016-04-12 05:53:42 UTC
Sorry, but i do not have the time and the knowledge to fix this bug. -> unassigned
Comment 9 Richard Purdie 2022-06-02 15:37:20 UTC
Sorry, that wasn't the fix
Comment 10 Richard Purdie 2022-06-02 15:41:33 UTC
We only allow one syslog implementation to be installed at a time with RCONFLICTS now so this is no longer an issue.
