I am using CentOS 7-64 bit and I want to report that the network gets lost from time to time with MinnowBoard MAX + 0.93 64-Bit and I have not seen this behavior at all with the previous the firmware versions. Steps to reproduce it: 1. Flash the board with the MinnowBoard MAX 0.93 64-Bit 2. Reboot the board 3. SSH into the board from the host PC through SSH 4. After a while the SSH connection gets lost 4. I had to restart the network service with: systemctl restart network , in order to get the SSH back. After I downgraded the firmware to 0.92 64-bit the issue disappeared.
I am using: Kernel: 4.4.9-300.2 CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core) systemd-219-19.el7_2.12.x86_64
Reposting from the Mailing List: I have also run into problems with connectivity with the latest firmware that is resolved by reverting back to 0.92. However, I'm using a custom board that uses Intel i211 NICs instead of the Realtek NIC. As I understand it, this is the same NIC as what will be in the Minnowboard Turbot Quad. For the i211 connected to PCIe Port 1 on my board, I typically can trigger this failure when I to do bidirectional TCP/IP iperf tests: Board: iperf -c 192.168.1.127 -t 300 -d Development PC: iperf -s The error message from the Intel NIC driver is: [Sep 2 10:00] igb 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: PCIe link lost, device now detached I'm running stock 0.93 firmware with Ubuntu 16.04.1.
We are no longer tracking in Yocto Project Bugzilla MinnowBoard and MinnowBoard-MAX HW and firmware bugs.
