While running bitbake -k universe -c distrodata on morty release branch, the following errors occur for tar-1.29-r0 package: WARNING: tar-1.29-r0 do_distrodata: distro_check: create_socket url http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/24/Fedora/source/SRPMS/ can't access WARNING: tar-1.29-r0 do_distrodata: distro_check: create_socket url http://download.opensuse.org/update/13.2/rpm/src/ can't access These specific links no longer exist.
I started to look at this and the Fedora case is very much non-trivial as they have re-organised their archive, but the bigger problem is that distrodata has been broken since the Python3 migration and it didn't appear to be collecting any data. The ross/morty branch on poky-contrib has my WIP patch to fix distrodata, it doesn't fetch fedora or suse yet but it does fetch Debian and Ubuntu correctly.
I then rewrote most of the library... Patch on the list.
