Description Jair Gonzalez 2016-11-04 23:00:34 UTC
With the purpose of having a way to automate testing the main methods the DevAuto package provides, and enable fast automated regression for future changes, it becomes necessary to add unit tests to the project. For this purpose, two approaches will be used by leveraging the Python unittest library and doctest functionality in conjunction with a script to execute the tests, collect the results and generate the logs.
Comment 1 Jair Gonzalez 2016-11-04 23:23:18 UTC
Received an updated branch of DevAuto project from Benjamin Esquivel with enhancements to it, including unittest and doctest test cases for testing importing DevAuto, a working script that executes both types of test cases, collects their results and generates an xml report by leveraging XMLTestRunner, if installed, or generating a simple text file otherwise.
I added test cases for validating the controller classes' instantiation and methods in each one of its current sub-packages: kbemu, usbmux and rps.
I'll add additional tests to cover all methods using the test mock up modules in each sub-package.

Unit tests have been integrated on the devauto repository's master branch. Closing as fixed.
