Description Robert Berger 2016-12-08 10:24:38 UTC
I try to cross debug hello world.

On target:

+ gdbserver localhost:5555 hello_world.out.stripped
Process hello_world.out.stripped created; pid = 1292
Listening on port 5555

On host:

gdb_init script:
set sysroot /opt/poky/2.2/multi-v7-ml/beagle-bone-black/sysroots/armv7a-neon-poky-linux-gnueabi/
target remote 192.168.42.11:5555
b main

+ source /opt/poky/2.2/multi-v7-ml/beagle-bone-black/environment-setup-armv7a-neon-poky-linux-gnueabi

arm-poky-linux-gnueabi-gdb hello_world.out --command gdb_init
Python Exception <class 'ImportError'> No module named 'imp':

Limited Python support is available from the _gdb module.
Suggest passing --data-directory=/path/to/gdb/data-directory.

I think the SDK is incomplete.
Comment 2 Robert Berger 2017-03-07 14:09:37 UTC
This seems to work now with the extensible SDK even without the proposed patch but the classic sdk seems to be broken (even with the patch applied).
