I need information on how we suggest to use it?
Comment 2 Saul Wold 2011-05-19 13:54:40 UTC
Here is an example sniplet to use autobuild's mirror

PREMIRRORS_prepend = "\
ftp://.*/.*      http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/sources/ \n \
http://.*/.*     file://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/sources/ \n \
https://.*/.*    file://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/sources/ \n"

So is this a variable that goes in a configuration file somewhere? If so, what configuration file. I am trying to figure out the best place for this information.

Thanks

The solution for this bug is already in place. The QS currently contains a note describing how Poky searches for source code by default. The note points the reader to a FAQ entry in the Poky Reference Manual that provides lots of detail on how to beef up the search process. Included in the FAQ entry is a lot of discussion on PREMIRRORS_prepend. The fix is already in poky/master.

Fixes in the manual.

I put in a valid target and estimate. Also set the Documentation change field to "No".
