This bug is cloned from bug 10519 which already fixed in master: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=5ea3627dbb61ab065be8737c46007d7d8d7f3501

I'm not sure if we can backport it to morty.

    I ended up pulling in 
    http://cgit.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/commit/scripts/runqemu-export-rootfs?id=10c136a382006c0ec2679a70f47ff2446c10372c

    to aid in merging
