Description Paul Eggleton 2017-03-22 01:20:10 UTC
Add an new "Classes" top level button that takes you to a page where you can search for bbclasses, just like the recipe/machine/distro search pages. We already have the data, so this should be as simple as adding a template and a view.

Where should I add the button? In Toaster? I'm a newbie :)

Paul, what are we hoping to be showing here?

This would be added to the layer index code ( http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/layerindex-web/ ). You'd need to add a view to layerindex/views.py (see DistroSearchView for the distro one that you should be able to mostly copy and modify). You'll also need to add a branch-specific URL handler in layerindex/urls_branch.py so that it's accessible. The templates for generating the HTML are in templates/layerindex - you'll need to create a new template and search for distro_search to see where you'd need to add links to the URL for the new search page. The model we would be looking at for this is "BBClass" (see layerindex/models.py). HTH.

I can't seem to find the folder 'layerindex'. Is poky the correct clone for this?

Okay I have cloned layerindex-web now.
