$ source  refkit-init-build-env
$ echo 'SDK_EXT_TYPE = "minimal"' >> conf/local.conf
$ bitbake refkit-image-common -c populate_sdk_ext
ERROR: The following unsupported recipes are required for the build:TA:  0:00:04
  meta-extsdk-toolchain@core (would be supported in workspacelayer)

Fix by adding meta-extsdk-toolchain@core to meta-rekfit/conf/distro/include/refkit-supported-recipes.txt

the meta-extsdk-toolchain part is now covered in https://github.com/intel/intel-iot-refkit/pull/82 which is merged -> fixed.
