Could you pls. assign it to other guy, as I'm not python owner. Thanks,

Darren, What is the recipe to get working to 3.0.0-rc1 Linux kernel in poky ?
Comment 3 Darren Hart 2011-06-28 12:16:08 UTC
This isn't about building a 3.0 kernel with poky. This is about trying to build poky on a system that is running a 3.0 kernel.

I am getting 3.1 rc kernel from fedora rawhide to test this. I hope that should help reproduce this issue.

Comment 5 Nitin Kamble 2011-08-17 17:33:35 UTC
I just tried to reproduce this on 3.1 fedora rawhide kernel. And install of python was successful.

$ uname -a
Linux nbuild1 3.1.0-0.rc2.git0.1.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Aug 15 14:18:14 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Comment 6 Nitin Kamble 2011-08-18 08:37:05 UTC
This issue is no more present. I am not seeing any failure in python building on a host running 3.1 kernel. If it is still issue then please reopen it with more information.
