Description David Reyna 2017-04-17 21:34:26 UTC
1) Add support to point to custom layer index servers.

  * The existing OE Layer Index server should remain the default
  * There should be an easy way to customize the Toaster instance to point to an alternate custom layer index server, for example by adding an entry in "custom.xlm" fixture file.

2) Also add support to point to a layer index summary file, for installations where it is not feasible to gain access or to host a layer index server.

  * The layer index API path should be able to be a file path.
  * The format of the file should be in JSON, and should follow the schema of the normal index server content.

This issue is largely resolved with other fixes.

I will close soon.
Comment 2 David Reyna 2017-08-30 02:28:54 UTC
The custom layer index aspect has been resolved by 11957.

The file-based layer index feature will be incorporated with the updated layer index class, which will be completed in YP-2.5.

Based on this, I am closing this enhancement.
