Description Joshua Lock 2017-04-27 12:51:21 UTC
We'd like to be able to build intel-iot-refkit with yocto-autobuilder.

Some adaptations, and likely a new buildstep, will be required for yocto-autobuilder due.

* intel-iot-refkit uses submodules and needs a git clone --recursive to checkout all layers in one fetch step
* the required build targets are stored in meta-refkit/conf/distro/include/refkit-ci.inc, we will likely need a new buildstep to extract the value of the REFKIT_CI_BUILD_TARGETS from there
* the build should use the revision of bitbake and oe-core from poky (so as to benefit from testing with the pre-merge branches). Likely the easiest way to do this is to modify the conf/bblayers.conf
* We also need to run oe-selftest with the values of REFKIT_CI_PREBUILD_SELFTESTS before building the targets and with the values of REFKIT_CI_POSTBUILD_SELFTESTS after the targets are built.

A new buildset, nightly-refkit, has been added (as well as supporting new code and buildsteps). nightly-refkit has two main builds:

1) clones the intel-iot-refkit repository and all submodules then sets up a bblayers.conf which refers to the OE-Core and Bitbake repositories in the main poky checkout with layers from the refkit repository. The buildset then builds whatever the value of REFKIT_CI_BUILD_TARGETS is in meta-refkit/conf/distro/include/refkit-ci.inc as well as running oe-selftests.

2) builds the same REFKIT_CI_BUILD_TARGETS from meta-refkit/conf/distro/include/refkit-ci.inc with the poky distro
