Hi,
What build configurations are used to bitbake?

I bitbake core-image-lsb with following configuration in local.conf:

MACHINE ??= "intel-corei7-64"
DISTRO ?= "poky-lsb"

It doesn't boot up from NUC. However, I tested the same image on MinnowBoard Max, and it is able to boot.

Hi,

I am using master branch for bitbake.
I performed Runtime Tests on Hardware with TEST_TARGET= "simpleremote". It looked like this test_2_logrotate test is passing.

Log:

DEBUG: Checking if at least one of logrotate is installed
NOTE: test_1_logrotate_setup (logrotate.LogrotateTest) ... ok
NOTE: test_2_logrotate (logrotate.LogrotateTest) ... ok

NOTE: test_syslog_running (oe_syslog.SyslogTest) ... ok

RESULTS - oe_syslog.SyslogTestConfig.test_syslog_logger - Testcase 1149: PASSED
RESULTS - oe_syslog.SyslogTestConfig.test_syslog_restart - Testcase 1150: PASSED

Below show the customized configuration used in my local.conf.
MACHINE ??= "intel-corei7-64"
DISTRO ?= "poky-lsb"
INHERIT += "testimage"
TEST_TARGET = "simpleremote"
TEST_SERVER_IP = "10.54.77.139"
TEST_TARGET_IP = "172.30.199.18"
TEST_SUITES_append = " logrotate"

Hi
I used this configuration:

> MACHINE ??= "intel-corei7-64"
> DISTRO ?= "poky-lsb"

I'll leave attached log (local.conf)

Thanks for the local.conf.
Looked like we using the same configurations for MACHINE, DISTRO and TEST_TARGET.
I did another build again and I still got logrotate test 2 passing.
I attached my log file (log.do_testimage_6June) and local.conf(local.conf_6June) here. Let me know if I missing something.

By the way, I need to append logrotate into the TEST_SUITES, else LogrotateTest test will not be performed during testimage.
TEST_SUITES_append = " logrotate"

"logrotate" should be executed without adding it to the TEST_SUITES variable because testimage automatically discover the features based on the manifest, hence if logrotate is present on the image test should be executed.

Are you using the intel-corei7-64-lsb image?

I bitbake with core-image-lsb. From the environment variables core-image-lsb doesn't include the logrotate in TEST_SUITS. Thus, I need to add that.

# $DEFAULT_TEST_SUITES_pn-core-image-lsb
#   set /workdir/poky_sato/meta/classes/testimage.bbclass:49
#     "${NETTESTSUITE} pam parselogs ${RPMTESTSUITE}"
DEFAULT_TEST_SUITES_pn-core-image-lsb="ping ssh df date scp oe_syslog pam parselogs dnf rpm"

Yup. I bitbake core-image-lsb, by using the attached local.conf(6June).

The tests are executed on a "core-image-lsb-sdk"

Got it. I did a retest today with "core-image-lsb-sdk" where I do not need to have logrotate appended on the TEST_SUITES. The logrotate.LogrotateTest.test_2_logrotate is still passing. Log file(log.do_testimage_14June) is attached.

Hi
I did retest the image and you're right , the logrotate tests are PASSED.
I've Downloaded the image again , and I made all the setup again from zero, and it works ok, something strange happened, maybe the first image that I've downloaded was corrupt or something while making the setup, whatever happened we can close this.

I attached the log
