Using nodejs 4.8.3 from meta-openembedded, following the instructions at https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/TipsAndTricks/NPM:

    devtool add "npm://registry.npmjs.org;name=cute-files;version=1.0.2"
    bitbake cute-files

The bitbake command fails with:
