Description Johannes Bauer 2017-07-31 15:00:41 UTC
I am using this Yocto 2.0 build by Congatec for their QSeven i.MX6 module.

Xorg is starting fine with GPU support.

X11 GPU test programs (e.g. tiger) are working fine.

Then I built a plain Chromium 57 and copied it on top of this Yocto build.

chrome://gpu shows that the GPU and WebGL are available, but in the log I see:

drmOpenDevice: open result is 90, (OK)
drmOpenByBusid: drmOpenMinor returns 90
drmOpenByBusid: drmGetBusid reports platform:Vivante GCCore:00

Please ignore these lines in the log file:

[20500:20522:0731/143818.506168:ERROR:simple_backend_impl.cc(137)] Failed to create directory: /mnt/sd/.cache/Default/Cache
[20500:20522:0731/143818.506328:ERROR:simple_backend_impl.cc(585)] Simple Cache Backend: wrong file structure on disk: /mnt/sd/.cache/Default/Cache

[20500:20523:0731/143818.507130:ERROR:cache_creator.cc(133)] Unable to create cache

This cache issue is fixed now, but the main problem resides.
Comment 2 Johannes Bauer 2017-07-31 15:37:18 UTC
Chromium command-line switch "--use-gl=egl" seems to solve the issue.
