See http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/meta-intel-iot-middleware/ mraa and upm recipes are several releases out of date (last updated over a year ago) and have moved to meta-refkit-core See https://github.com/intel/intel-iot-refkit/tree/master/meta-refkit-core
I have begun the process of cleaning up the recipes with a view to finding new homes for those that need it. WIP is on the paule/cleanup branch.
paho-mqtt-c and mosquitto have now been moved to meta-oe.
I have sent patches to move mraa and upm to meta-oe and python-pyfirmata to meta-python. Once those are merged I think we can let the remaining recipes drop: libstrophe libwyliodrin mdns sshpass tempered wyliodrin-server If anyone does want to resurrect any of these they can easily do so as I will leave the repository around (with a notice about it not being maintained).
By default mraa does not depend on libft4222. If ft4222 support is enabled via PACKAGECONFIG, cmake will not find libft4222 and mraa will fail to build. Sample recipe for libft4222 can be found at https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/TipsAndTricks/Packaging_Prebuilt_Libraries. Once mraa patch is accepted I'll create a patch for libft4222 and submit to meta-oe.
Cool, thanks Henry.
Adding Partrick and Dmitry as they are maintaining mraa and upm in meta-refkit-core. I see comments in their commits indicating an intent to move meta data to oe-core. This conflicts with Paul's patches that move meta data to meta-oe. I believe we need a single point of contact for maintainership of meta data. Who should that be?
Right, I did include both Patrick and Dmitry (and Brendan) in an email thread when I was discussing the move. Perhaps meta-oe was meant there? Patrick/Dmitry can you confirm?
Refkit depends on meta-oe already thus moving mraa/upm to that layer shouldn't be an issue for Refkit.
mraa, upm and python-pyfirmata have now been merged into meta-oe and meta-python respectively. I've also just sent a patch to add an upgraded and fixed mdns recipe to meta-networking, since someone coincidentally requested it on the mailing list.
The mdns recipe has now been moved to meta-networking. Since that was the last recipe I'm planning on moving, I have also merged the paule/cleanup branch of meta-intel-iot-middleware to master, dropped that branch, and updated the README and the note on layers.openembedded.org entry to indicate that the layer is no longer maintained and the useful recipes have been moved elsewhere.
