Description Paul Eggleton 2017-08-14 21:42:54 UTC
If you look at the update logs for any layer you will see it is now filled with entries that contain only "NOTE: Starting bitbake server...". For example see https://layers.openembedded.org/layerindex/layerupdate/852220/

The layer index update script is run with a -q option, which is supposed to ensure that notes like this aren't printed, but apparently that's not working.

Is this using tinfoil? If so we may need to flip the init order around so logging is set before prepare() or whateever we had to do with the other tinfoil tools? Triage call mentioned Amanda may be able to help if appropriate?

For reference this is a fix for a similar issue that Richard made in recipetool: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=e69665f3e5d78e9f45afbc938cc694555665d2dd
