Ubuntu or Debian? Which version do you use? Ubuntu 10.10 works fine for me. In general, distribution should link its specific libGL.so under /usr/lib... Thanks, edwin
This was with debian unstable.
I think pkg-config may be usable to resolve this - IIRC it reports the correct path on Debian unstable.
Discussed this with Øyvind, looks like pkg-config can indeed be used to check for the presence of GL (pkg-config --exists gl) on Debian unstable. It might be possible that some systems do not have pkg-config files for gl though so I would suggest adding this check to the existing ones rather than replacing them.
Seems to me this might have been fixed already with oe-core commit ced947e989dfbca8055fe57e14207cb6f1357430.
As Paul mentioned, it's got fixed in poky master(e154e51011f54e2328fe55fb7e66a537757e2f68)
