Description Kimmo Lindholm 2017-10-06 20:31:59 UTC
On a clean openSUSE LEAP 42.2 install,
following getting started instructions for openSUSE at https://www.openembedded.org/wiki/Getting_started#openSUSE ,
and then OE-Core standalone install instructions here https://www.openembedded.org/wiki/OE-Core_Standalone_Setup ,

the step 'bitbake core-image-minimal' fails with following error:

FATAL: The knotty ui could not load the required curses python module.

Seems that the missing package, python3-curses, is in quick-start guide, but not in openembedded.org wiki
http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/2.3.2/yocto-project-qs/yocto-project-qs.html#packages

please update oe wiki

Sidenote: This was my first experience on OE and ending up to make a bugreport just in 15 minutes...

I've updated the OE wiki based on the latest YP quick start guide which includes python3-ncurses in the list for openSUSE. Thanks for the report!
