SWIG doesn't support the latest node.js API which breaks things such as mraa & UPM building the node.js binding. There is a patch that I've tested and works for us here: https://github.com/swig/swig/pull/968. Buildroot have merged this patch for the same reasons (https://github.com/buildroot/buildroot/commit/4739b31359bf7b4a7b8583c97605faf2e2de0691). I think it would be appropriate & helpful to merge this into the OE layer.
