Releases are made infrequently enough that it often takes an attempt or two to remember which fields in the nightly buildset force build page are required. In the same vein as adding some JavaScript to help trigger builds for different releases[1] we could easily add some simple scripting to improve the usability of the form for release builds versus not. We could: - once a user has selected whether the build is a release or not, hide irrelevant fields (i.e. fields which only affect a release should be hidden for standard pre-integration testing builds) - validate that fields required for a release build are populate when attempting to build a release 1. http://git.yoctoproject.org/clean/cgit.cgi/yocto-autobuilder/commit/?id=8afbc6323a2977383e9cace1c040a5ce4d61f068
This was done as part of the move to the new autobuilder codebase.
