Description Martin Hundeboll 2018-01-25 13:55:34 UTC
Preconditions/Environment
-------------------------

poky master (commit be821416fe0f)

Triggering Action/Cause
-----------------------

Run
> rm -f downloads/debianutils*
> bitbake -c fetchall ca-certificates

Expectation
-----------

bitbake should resolve the dependency from ca-certificates to debianutils as it is listed in PACKAGE_WRITE_DEPS, which gets assigned to do_package_write_{rpm,dev,ipk}[depends], and then fetch the debianutils source.

Actual Result
-------------

debianutils source isn't fetched

Reproducibility
---------------

always

More Info

http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=0899c332f76fac042bd368ab5d030aadfa327f58 resolved this.

We ended up removing fetchall entirely since the runonly option to bitbake provides a better interface for this without performance implications.
